As you can see up on the front page of the store, and probably tell by the first track played on the podcast, “This Time Around,” the Featured Artist is Michelle Lewis from Boston, MA. Now, if you have been listening to our podcasts regularly you will know that Michelle was the Featured Artist in Music Sumo Podcast #001, and was an artist featured in our compilation podcast, #003. So, yes she is being featured more than once, but since she signed up with Music Sumo first, I promised her the Featured Artist slot for the first two weeks after the store actually opened. So, the next couple of podcasts will be a little bit of a copy of the first two (since I promised Farma the same thing), but I will try to throw in some more meat for you listeners. So, don’t worry, there will be some new stuff!
Speaking of which, lets get going with a new song from Michelle that we have not played here on the Music Sumo Podcast. This song is off of Michelle’s newest album, “This Time Around,” which is now available on the Music Sumo website at www.musicsumo.com. This is Michelle with “San Francisco Bay.”
Ah, I love that song. I think it is one of the most beautiful songs that I have heard about my hometown area, actually! Recently Northeast In-Tune Magazine also featured Michelle online in its December/January edition. In-Tune is a regional e-zine that looks for "artists who are serious about their music, their band and their potential career." Bob Donovan writes, "Michelle Lewis is a Massachusetts based Singer/Songwriter who, I feel, is overflowing with talent . . . Michelle plays with a clean, crisp guitar sound and her sweet, melodic vocals are heartfelt and very appealing."

If you didn’t notice, I didn’t think that Caroline was long enough, so I thought that I would throw “Midnight” in there as well.
Now, I have known Michelle for quite a while and have actually been lucky to tour around with her a couple of times, and it is funny, wherever we would go there was always someone who would end up saying that they would like a more upbeat song for her to play. Well, she did play upbeat songs, very good ones actually, and to prove it to all of those people out there she ended up putting a couple of them on her album, “This Time Around.” Songs like this one… This is Michelle with “Searching For Something.”
