This episode of the Music Sumo Podcast we bring you another great spiritual artist, Laura Principato from San Diego, California. At first, we thought Laura would be very much live Linda Kazmarek from Music Sumo Podcast #011, but we soon found out that we were all wrong. Just as great, Laura and Linda are from two different breeds of spiritual music however. Just like Linda though, Laura is one lady who loves Jesus with all her heart, mind, soul, and strength and won’t compromise her faith or music to sound like cross-over. She’s the real deal. You can hear in her music that she has the joy of the Lord in her heart. Laura has a unique mix of original contemporary Christian music and Gospel songs that will bless and inspire you.
This was probably very apparent by our opening song, “Pearl Of Great Price,” by Laura Principato off of her album, Songs In The Night, which is now available at the Music Sumo webstore at www.musicsumo.com. Let’s take a little more time to listen to some of Laura’s album right now...
Like I mentioned before, Laura is from San Diego. Actually, she was born and raised there. The second born out of nine siblings (raised Irish-Catholic), she is now all grown up and married with three children and a stepchild of her own. She is also now a grandmother to a precious angel named Jacob.
All of her life Laura has had a passion for music. Growing up, she sang in school/youth/folk groups, Bible study music sessions, church worship teams, and in group music. She even took piano from the best piano instructors in town, but after eight years of lessons she realized that her instrument was not the piano, but her voice. She has sung on large stages, as well as for small venues, churches, homes, and schools. The songs on her CD are all original. Laura is now working on her second CD and is still enjoying the craft of songwriting and the places, people, and events that give her inspiration to write them.
Let’s take a listen to a few more of Laura’s songs as we close out this episode of the Music Sumo Podcast. If you like what you have heard during this episode please visit Music Sumo at www.musicsumo.com to pick up a copy of Laura Principato’s album, Songs In The Night, today!
